One small deduction at a time
Matching numbers identify connected regions. Each region, row and column needs one cat. Cats cannot sit in neighboring squares, even diagonally.
How are the paths different?
Beginner boards solve with single-candidate deductions. Standard also uses groups confined to rows or columns, and pairs of groups. Challenge needs assumption checks in addition to group deductions. Every published level is checked for connected regions, a unique solution and its deduction path.
Will a reason place a cat for me?
No. It highlights a deduction and explains why it follows. You can place the cat yourself, or apply an explained group of × marks. Reveal a cat is separate and counts toward your result.
What does Mix this path do?
It picks one of this path’s 24 original boards and rotates or reflects it. The layout changes, but the difficulty stays the same. It does not claim an unlimited inventory of new puzzles.
